Listening, listening, listening

My worst part about English has been listening skill. I can't improve it at all.

How can I improve my listening?

What should I do?

Hello Sand.

How about watching some online videos that have subtitles? As I am English, I immediately thought of the BBC which has a service called "iPlayer". Nearly all the TV programmes they have broadcast in the past week are available, most of them with subtitles. Unfortunately, at the moment, I think this service is not available without charges outside the UK, but they are extending it and making some programmes available in other countries. So that could be a source for the future.

Meanwhile, I'm sure there must be something on YouTube. I found these:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=YapsdaU5YNI

Many of Google's videos (www.youtube.com/user/Google) have subtitles. For example:

I imagine you don't necessarily want English lessons, but I found some listening practice videos at:

www.youtube.com/user/VOALearningEnglish
www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmKhLs-mcpg

In addition, you could listen to me on Skype! My username is timfrost. Call me sometime.

Wow!!!!!
Thank you very much for the useful information!!
I saw all the sites and they are great. I'll look into them and find out how I should make effective use of them.

I've bought a new PC. I think I should install Skype.

Thank you, Tim!
