Tokyo Sinfornia concert - Sibelius Serenade

As I wrote the previous article, I attended the classical concert tonight. The reason of why I who are not familiar with classical music went there is,

A music director contacted me through LinkedIn and introduced his orchestra Tokyo Sinfonia to me. The orchestra is quite unique. Here is detailed information.

Somehow, I thought I would go. I don't know why.

I'd never attended classical concert. Surprisingly, live performance was much different from listening to CD or from on TV. It was something like... it was as if sound rushed toward the audiences, it was very grand and sometimes magical, it was as if it had a story (actually it had)... Amazing.

Tokyo Sinfonia does concerts about once a month. I'd like to attend as many of them as possible. I think I should never attended with lack of sleep though.

I'm glad you liked it, and have found something new to enjoy in the future. It seems that you didn't fall asleep during the performance.

I looked at the orchestra's web site and read Robert Rÿker's article about his philosophy for establishing the Tokyo Sinfonia. It was very interesting.

How is the new job going, now that you have been there for a couple of months?

Tim,

Robert Rÿker's orchestra is quite unique, isn't it? Yes, it was good that I didn't fall asleep. haha.

Regarding my new job, actually, it's not so good. To my surprise, after I joined the company, many bad aspects of the company were revealed. Whew...

Thank you for visiting my blog!
