One of my friends on Lang-8 came to Japan and I met him yesterday.
We had lunch and I enjoyed conversation with him.
Although he rarely has opportunity to speak Japanese in his country, his Japanese was very good. On the other hand, my English was... very bad as usual.
His good Japanese conversation proves that people can improve their language skill they learn even though they are not surrounded by the language.
I have to do my best.

I'm a year late, but I just now noticed what you wrote in your blog!
I thought your spoken English was very good. It was easy to understand and natural. I felt like I would have no problem communicating with you. :)
